This step is to make sure that you are using a stable internet connection for the setup process.
To verify the internet connection, connect your computer or hand-held device to it.
Now, access a website on your device.

Procedure to connect the Belkin N300 router and your computer together
After completing the first step successfully, start this process as instructed below.
Get an Ethernet cable and use it to connect the modem to the WAN port of the Belkin N300 router.
Now, connect your modem and the Belkin router to the wall outlet.
Note: Don’t turn on the router now.
Connect your computer to the Belkin router using another Ethernet cable.
