  • The red light occurs on the router when there are connection issues.
  • Check all the cable-related issues between the router and the modem.
  • If the cable is physically damaged, replace it with a new one and check the connection.
  • Try connecting the modem directly to your computer using an Ethernet cable and verify your internet connection.
  • If you can’t get an active internet connection, configure the settings of the internet manually.
  • Now, connect the modem and router. Then, connect your router setup to your computer.
  • If the Belkin router red light after reset issue persists, update the router’s firmware to the latest version.
  • Go to the web interface page of the Belkin router to update its firmware.
  • Enter the username and password of the Belkin router, and navigate to the Utilities section.
  • Select Firmware Update and click Check Firmware.
  • If an update is available, continue with the instructions displayed on the screen to perform the update.
  • Restart your router and modem to fix the issue.
  • Power off the modem and the router.
  • Remove the power cable from both the devices and wait for a minute.
