How To Configure D Link DMZ Setup?

DMZ or Demilitarized Zone is a feature that allows the router to forward all the incoming traffic by blocking or bypassing the router’s firewall protection. The DMZ is often mentioned as a sub-network that is behind the firewall. You should use this feature only if you can’t open the internet applications on your computer. You can enable or disable the DMZ feature based on your requirement. This page explains the D Link DMZ setup.

To configure the DMZ feature on your D-Link router, carry out the following instructions.

  • First, connect your computer to the D-Link router network.
  • Launch the Chrome or Safari web browser on your computer.
  • In the search field of the browser, type 192.168.0.1 (IP address of your D-Link router) or the router’s URL code and tap the Enter button.
  • On the router login screen, enter your router’s credentials and click Sign In.
  • On your router’s main screen, click the Features tab followed by the Firewall option.
  • Click the Enabled button beside the Enable DMZ option.
  • In the DMZ IP Address fields, enter the specific device’s IP addresses and click the Save button.

For the D-Link router model: DI-514, DI-524, DI-614, DI-624

  • Open the default web browser of your computer.
  • Make sure that your computer is connected to the D-Link router’s network.
  • In the address field, enter your router’s IP address and tap the Enter button.
  • On the router login screen, enter your D-Link router’s username and password.
  • Tap Enter.
  • Click the Advanced tab followed by the DMZ button.
  • Choose the Enable option.
  • In the given fields, enter the IP addresses of the computer that you wish to provide access to DMZ.
  • Finally, click the Apply button followed by Continue.

For the D-Link router model: DI-704, DI-704P (revA), DI-711 (revA), DI-713, and DI-713P

  • Navigate to your D-Link router’s web access page.
  • Click the Advanced tab followed by Miscellaneous Items.
  • On the Miscellaneous Items screen, enter the IP address of the specific devices and click the Save button.
