Hardware setup

  • Place the router and your modem closer.
  • Make sure you have extended your router’s antennas properly.
  • Similarly, ensure that the router’s mode switch is set to ROUTER.
  • Now, connect your modem to the Internet using an Ethernet cable.
  • Connect your D-Link to the modem using another Ethernet cable.
  • Turn on the modem first.
  • Wait for one minute.
  • Connect the router to the power adapter.
  • Press the Power button on your D-Link router to turn it ON.
  • Wait for the LEDs of the router to change from orange to solid white.
  • Now, connect your computer to the D-Link router.
  • If your connectivity type is wireless, then go to the Wi-Fi settings section on your computer and select your router’s SSID. Enter the router’s password in the given field.
  • Similarly, if you wish to connect your computer to the D-Link router over a wired connection, then use an Ethernet cable to complete the physical router setup. The router network will be automatically detected by the computer.

Using The QRS Mobile App

  • On your mobile device, install the QRS Mobile app from the Google Play Store and App Store.
  • Enable the Wi-Fi option on your device.
  • Look for your D-link router’s network and select it.
  • Once the device is connected to the network, open the QRS Mobile app.
  • Tap Start on the welcome screen of the application.
  • Perform the on-screen instructions to complete the setup process.
  • If you wish to receive a notification when a new firmware update is available, then select the Notify me when new firmware is an available option when prompted.
  • After completing the router setup, tap Save.

Congratulations! You have successfully configured your D-Link router.

Using The Setup Wizard

  • On your computer, open a web browser.
  • Type the 192.168.0.1 IP address or https://dlinkrouter.local./
  • Click the Next button in the Welcome window.
  • Choose the desired connection type, PPPoE, DNS settings, and other preferences.
  • After completing the setup, click the Finish button.
