Setting up a D-Link router is quite simple. The D-Link GO-RT-N300 router provides seamless Internet connectivity by routing the network traffics to the devices connected to it.

  • Before starting, verify whether you have a stable Internet connection.
  • Next, connect your modem and the router using the supplied network cable.
  • Make sure to connect the network cable to the router's WAN port.
  • Take a standard Ethernet cable and connect an end to your router's LAN port.
  • Connect the other end to your computer's Ethernet port.
  • After completing the hardware setup, turn on your modem, router, and computer.
  • Launch the default browser on your computer, enter your router's IP address in the URL field, and press the Enter key.
  • Enter 'Admin' in the Username field and leave the Password field empty.
  • Click Login to access the web-based configuration utility.
  • To manually configure the WAN settings, click Manual on the Setup page to direct you to the Internet Setup page.
  • Select one of the following options as your Internet connection type and click Next.
  • PPPoE
  • Dynamic IP
  • Static IP
  • If you have selected PPPoE, input your ISP’s username and password in the required fields.
  • Click on Account Validate to validate your account and click Next.
  • If you have selected Static IP as your Internet connection type, enter your IP address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, Primary DNS, and Secondary DNS in the required fields.
  • Click Next and configure the wireless network and security features.
  • Change the SSID and network key to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Click Finish to complete the basic setup and make sure to save the configured settings by clicking the Apply Changes button.
