How To Limit Data Usage On Dlink Router

While people are browsing the internet or if they are not working, they might use some hidden social media site or sites. You might not want them to use such sites while they are at work.

  • First, log in to your D-Link router..
  • To log in, navigate to the D-Link Product Page. In the Log In section, enter your User Name and Password. Click the Log In button.
  • Navigate to Manual SETUP.
  • On the left pane, click the Parental Control Rules option.
  • You will see the PARENTAL CONTROL RULES page.
  • On this page, you will find the following two options:
  • Turn Parental Control ON and DENY computers access to ONLY these sites
  • Turn Parental Control ON and ALLOW computers access to ONLY these sites

  • If you are using the first option, you will find the Turn Parental Control ON and DENY button. Then, in the Schedule section, click the Add Now button.
  • Set the business hours and lunchtime.
  • In the Website URL section, type in the URLs for which you want to deny access. In the Schedule section, choose Business Hours.
  • Then, at the top of your page, click the Save Settings button.
  • Now, the users will not be able to access these websites during business hours.
  • So, we can limit where the users can or cannot go (on the internet) during business hours.
