Linksys E2500 is a dual-band Wi-Fi router. If your Linksys E2500 no power light, check your connection first. Ensure that you have properly connected your router's power cord (the one that came with your router) to the electrical outlet. Verify whether you have connected your router and modem using a standard Ethernet cable. If the problem persists even after setting up everything correctly, proceed with the below-mentioned troubleshooting steps.

Solution 1: Power Cycle your router

  • This is the first thing you have to do before proceeding with any other troubleshooting methods. Power cycling is a very simple method that can fix the problems on your router.
  • To begin the Power Cycling process, unplug your router's (power cord with the router powered on).
  • Wait for at least 30 seconds and reconnect your power cord to the router.
  • Power up your router and check if the problem has been resolved.

Solution 2: Reset your router to factory defaults

  • Locate the Reset button on your Linksys E2500 router. Probably, it will be located at the backside of your router.
  • Once you have located the router's Reset button, press it using a paper clip. Hold it for 30 seconds. Doing so will reset your router's settings to factory defaults.
  • Next, unplug your router's power cord for 10 seconds and reconnect it.
  • Now, power up your router and reconnect all the Ethernet cables.

  • On the connected computer, download the TFTP utility and latest firmware that supports your Linksys router.
  • Once the download is completed, double-click the TFTP utility icon to open the Upgrade Firmware window.
  • Enter your router's IP address and password in the Server and Password fields.
  • Click on Browse to choose your downloaded firmware file.
  • Once you have uploaded the firmware, click the Upgrade button.
  • Wait until the firmware update is completed.
  • Once completed, check if the Linksys E2500 no power light problem has been resolved.
