Installation CD

A computer attached to a modem

Connect the Ethernet cable to the computer and the other end of the cable to the modem (Just to see if you have an active internet connection).

Reboot the modem if you do not have access to the internet.

Steps To Setup

Remove the Setup or the Installation CD from the cover and place it into the CD/DVD drive of your computer.
The AutoPlay window will now open.
Click the option Set up your Linksys Router.
Now, the Linksys EA6500 window will open.
Click the checkbox for the option I have read and accepted the License terms.
Select a language of your preference from the language drop-down list.
Follow the on-screen prompts and click the Next button.
You will see the connection screen with pictorial images. Click the Next button.
Now remove the power cord from the packaging, connect the plug to the main power source and to the back of the Linksys EA6500 router.
Connect the Ethernet cable to the computer and to any of the 4 available Ethernet ports on your Linksys EA6500 router.
Plug in another Ethernet cable to one of the Ethernet port on the modem and to the Internet port on the Linksys EA6500 router.

Check the connections between the modem, router, and computer.
Click the Next button on the Linksys page.
In the Linksys Router Settings page, enter a Wi-Fi Name (SSID) and a protective password in the respective fields. Now, click the Next button.
You will now see the message “We are now setting up your router.” Wait for a couple of minutes.
Once the detection is complete, you will be open to the Linksys Router Settings page.
Click the Next button.
You will see a Finishing Setup window.
When the connection is established, you will see the Congratulations! message.
Click the Close button and now you have successfully done the Linksys EA6500 smart Wifi AC1750 router setup.
