Connect your Linksys router to an electrical outlet using the power adapter or power cord.

Press thePower button on the Linksys router and wait until it becomes ready for the connection.

Connect the Linksys router to your PC using a standard Ethernet

You can also connect the computer over the wireless network using the network credentials.

The network credentials are available on the label attached to the backside of the Linksys router.

You can note down the Wireless network’s SSID, Network Key, and IP address if necessary.

Alternatively, you can identify the IP address of the Linksys router setup from the connected computer.

If you are using aWindows desktop, click the Start menu available at the top-left corner of the screen.

Type “cmd” in the search panel and press the Enter

From the search result, give a right-click on the Command Prompttab and select the Run as administrator

In the Command Prompt window, type the “ipconfig” command and press the Enter for Linksys router setup without modem.

Scroll down the window to the Default Gateway field and note down the IP address.

If you are using a Maccomputer, click the Apple menu available at the top-left corner of the screen.

Select the System Preferences option from the drop-down menu.

Click the Network icon and select the Advanced button at the bottom-right corner of the Network

Identify the IP address of the Linksys router near the wireless network name.
