- Your router should be connected to your ADSL or cable internet modem.
- Connect a touch-tone phone to the phone jack that is present at the back of the adapter.
- Establish a connection between the Ethernet port of the Linksys phone adapter to the rear side of the router using an Ethernet cable.
- Plug the Linksys adapter into an electrical outlet.
- Go to the phone that is connected to the Linksys adapter and press the star key four times.
- Use the phone’s keypad to dial 110# and wait until you hear a voice message.
- This message includes the IP address. Make sure to note it down.
- Check if your computer is connected to an active as well as a stable internet connection.
- Open the default web browser on the computer.
- Navigate to the address field, type the IP address that you took note of from the voice message, and press the Enter key on the computer’s keyboard.
- The configuration web page will be displayed on the screen.
- Click the Admin Login tab on the upper-right end.
- When prompted, you have to enter the login password.
- Select the Switch to Advanced View option and navigate to the System tab.
- When the System web page opens, fill the Primary DNS and Secondary DNS fields correctly.
- Once you provide the valid detail in the Primary NTP Server field, select the Save Settings option.
