Before starting, connect your DSL modem directly to your computer using a standard Ethernet cable and check the Internet connection.
If you have a stable Internet connection, disconnect the cables and turn off your modem.
Connect your router’s WAN port to the modem’s Internet port using the supplied network cable.
Next, connect your router’s LAN port to your computer’s Ethernet port using a standard Ethernet cable.
Turn on your modem, router, and computer.
Wait for the router to turn on and check if all the LEDs on the router are lit.
On your computer, open the browser you wish to use and enter your router’s IP address in the URL Hit Enter to access the web-based setup page.
If prompted, enter the default login credentials in the required fields and click the OK button.
You can identify these details from your router’s label.
Alternatively, you can identify your router’s IP address from your computer.
Once you have logged into your router’s web-based setup page, click the Setup tab and select your Internet connection from the pull-down menu next to the Internet Connection Type.
You can select any one of the following connection types:
Automatic Configuration -DHCP
If your Internet connection type is PPPoE , enter the username and password given by your ISP in the required fields.
To secure your Wi-Fi network, change the default SSID and network key.
After configuring the necessary settings, click the Status tab and check the login status.
Make sure to click Save Settings before logging out from the web-based setup page once Linksys WRT150N router setup is completed.
