Unpack the product and find the following components inside the package: AC power adapter, quick installation guide, and resource CD for the Linksys WRT160N router.
Place the router in a centralized place and make sure it is near your modem as well.
Use the network cable that came with the package and connect the router's WAN port to the modem's LAN port.
Connect your router's LAN port to your computer's Ethernet port using another Ethernet cable.
On your computer, launch a web browser, type in your router's IP address in the search field, and press the Enter button.
Enter the default login credentials on their respective fields if prompted and click on the OK button. Check on the router's label to identify the default credentials. Otherwise, enter Admin as username and Password.
Select the Setup tab followed by the Internet connection. You can select the internet connection type by clicking on the Menu option.
Choose your connection type as PPPoE or DHCP according to your preference.
Enter the SSID and the Password on their respective fields. Follow the on-screen instructions and complete the Linksys WRT160N router set up.
Complete the configuration process and click the Status tab to check the login status.
