  • Before starting, verify that you have a stable Internet connection from your DSL modem. To check that, connect your computer directly to the modem via an Ethernet cable.
  • After ensuring that your modem is ready to use, turn it off and unplug all the cables connected to it.
  • Next, unpack your router and connect its WAN port to the modem using the supplied Ethernet cable.
  • Connect your computer’s Ethernet port to the router’s LAN port using another Ethernet cable.
  • Now, turn on your modem after connecting its power cord to an electrical outlet.
  • Also, connect your router to an electrical outlet using the supplied power cord.
  • After ensuring that the LEDs on your router are lit, move on to your computer.
  • The setup on the web-based utility begins now.
  • Exit all the running apps on your computer and launch the default browser.
  • Enter your router’s IP address in the URL field and hit the Enter key to access the web-based utility.
  • You can identify the IP address of your router from its label.
  • If prompted, enter ‘admin’ in the Username and Password fields and click the OK button.
  • On the Basic Setup screen, click the Setup tab and go to the Internet Setup section.
  • Choose one of the following options as your Internet connection type from the drop-down menu.
  • Automatic Configuration -DHCP
  • Static IP
  • PPPoE

  • L2TP
  • Telstra Cable
  • If your Internet connection type is PPPoE, enter the login details provided by your ISP.
  • To secure your Wi-Fi network, go to the Wireless tab and click the Wireless Security submenu.
  • Choose your security mode and enter the WPS Shared key.
  • Next, change the wireless settings such as SSID and network key to prevent unauthorized access to your wireless network.
  • After configuring the required router settings, click Save Settings.
  • You will be logged out from the web-based utility.
  • Enter the newly created security key to access the router’s settings page.
