  • You have attempted to connect directly through an Ethernet cable to your modem and router with a Windows computer, but it has not proved fruitful.

The Solution to the Problematic Scenario:

If you power cycle your modem and router many times, you have to make sure that you perform the task in the correct order. Only if the power cycling is done in the right order, the issue can be resolved. Now, please attempt to restart your network using the following sequence:

  • First, please turn off your modem and then unplug it.
  • Next, turn off your router as well as the computer.
  • Now, plug in the modem and turn it on. Please wait patiently for 2 minutes.
  • Please turn on the router. Again, wait patiently for 2 minutes.
  • Finally, switch on your computer.

  • By clicking on the Erase button, you will be restoring all your router’s settings to the factory defaults.
