Try the following methods to resolve the unable to connect to the D-Link router issue.

Method 1: Change the physical connectivity type

  • If you’re trying to connect your device to the D-Link router over a wireless network, then try the wired connection method.
  • Connect the computer to your router using a network cable.
  • Make sure to connect your modem to the WAN port of the router.
  • Now, you can see a solid light on the Ethernet port of the router.
  • If you can’t see such lights, connect the network cable to a different port.
  • If the network cable has been damaged, then replace it with a new one.

Method 2: Remove the Bridge

  • Go to your Windows computer’s Control Panel section.
  • Click on Network Connections. Check if the Local Area Connection option is enabled.
  • If not, enabled it.
  • Make sure that the Local Area Connection option is not able to connect to dlink router bridged with other network connections.
  • Now, look for the Bridge icon. If you find any, then delete it.
  • Navigate to the Local Area Connection section.
  • Click on the Remove the Bridge option.

Method 3: Configure a static IP address for your computer

Check if your computer’s IP address is within the range of the D-Link router. If not, you need to set up a static IP address for your computer. Gather your router’s Gateway IP address and the IP address. Then, follow the instructions given below.

  • Open the Control Panel application.
  • Click Network Connections > Local Area Connection > Internet Protocol TCP/IP.
  • Select the Properties option.
  • Select the option that says Use the following IP address.
  • Enter the TCP/IP settings such as IP address, Subnet mask, Default Gateway and Preferred/Alternate DNS in the respective fields.
  • Click OK > OK.

Now, try to access your D-Link router’s web access page.
