How To Set Up Netgear Router Without Modem?

Step 2

• Connect the router’s power cord to an electrical outlet.
• If the router doesn’t turn on automatically, press the Power button.
• Check if the Power LED on the router’s front panel stays lit.

• Launch any internet browser on the computer that is connected to the router to set up Netgear router without modem.

• Type the router’s default IP address in the address field and press Enter.
• Now, the login web page of the router will open.

• The login credentials are case-sensitive. Make sure to enter them correctly.

• Click the Advanced tab followed by the Setup Wizard tab.

• If prompted, create a new admin password.
• Choose your preferred security questions and enter the answers correctly while set up Netgear router without modem.

• Click the Next option twice.

• The Firmware Update Assistant web page will open.
• If there is no update available for the router firmware, select the OK option.

• If not, select the Yes option to update the firmware to the latest version.
• After the firmware update, the router will reboot automatically.
