TP-Link Archer C20 Router Setup

This particular article deals with the setup procedure for the TP-Link Archer C20 router setup.

Before you begin the setup,

  • Place your router in a place to avoid overheat and exposure to moisture.
  • Place it where it can be easily connected without any hindrance and let it be near a power outlet.
  • Keep the router away from electromagnetic interference, such as Bluetooth devices, cordless phones, and microwaves.

TP-Link Archer C20 Router's Setup

  • Step 1Connect the Wi-Fi router to an electrical socket and turn it ON.
  • Step 2Wait for a while till the front panel indicators are lighted.
  • Step 3Now, connect your modem to the router using an Ethernet cable. The Ethernet cable should be connected to the internet (WAN) port on the router. The internet port will be in blue color.
  • Step 4Now, to configure your TP-Link router, you should connect it to your computer. The connection can be either wired or wireless.
  • Wired Connection:Connect another Ethernet cable between the LAN port of the router and the computer.
  • Wireless Connection: Turn on Wi-Fi on your computer and select the default SSID of your TP-Link Archer c20 router. Then enter the Wi-Fi password to get connected. These details are available on the router label.

Accessing the TP-Link Archer C20 router settings

  • Step 1Open a browser on your computer that is connected to the router.
  • Step 2Go to the address bar and type http://tplinkwifi.net or tplinklogin.net.
  • Step 3Enter into the setting mode and type the IP address to open the settings. Your router’s IP address is provided on the label of your router. The default IP address is 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1.
  • Step 4If the setting page doesn't open, try resetting the router. Locate the router reset button, then push and hold it for 5 to 10 seconds.
  • Step 5The router will start rebooting. Blinking indicator lights will help you to know the router is rebooting. After rebooting, try to access the router using the above mentioned method.

Now, an authorization page will prompt you for the username and password. By default, the User name is admin and the password is admin.Log into the router and configure the network settings to complete the TP-Link Archer C20 router setup.
