TP-Link Archer C2600 Router Setup

TP-Link Archer C2600, a dual-band Wi-Fi router, allows Multi-User Multiple Input Multiple Output (MU-MIMO) data streaming. The Archer C2600 router applies Qualcomm's VIVE 802.11ac technology to serve multiple devices without sacrificing bandwidth. The router has four adjustable and removable antennas along with four gigabit Ethernet ports, a WAN port, a power jack, and a power switch. The TP-Link router comes in a cardboard box with the following items:

  • TP-Link Archer C2600 router
  • Reading material
  • Power adapter
  • Ethernet cable
  • Wall mounts hardware

Make sure to carry out the steps to set up the TP-Link Archer C2600 router.

Hardware setup:

  • Place the router and the modem closer to reduce any interference.
  • Attach the antennas on the router and make sure to extend the antennas properly. This will maximize the router's wireless performance.
  • Turn off your modem. If your modem carries any backup battery, remove it as well.
  • Connect the modem to the blue internet port on your router with the Ethernet cable that came along with the package.
  • Reattach the power adapter, turn on your modem, and wait for the modem to get turn on.
  • The process may take 2 to 3 minutes, wait patiently.
  • Connect the router to the power adapter and press the power button to turn it on.
  • You can see the LED light on the router flashing orange. Wait for the light to turn solid white. You're online when the internet light turns solid white.
  • You're now ready to connect your computer to the TP-Link Archer C2600 router.
  • If you're opting for a wireless connection, go to the Wi-Fi settings section and enter your router's network name (SSID) and password.
  • You can find the network name (SSID) and the password on the product label.
  • Alternatively, you can connect the device to the TP-Link Archer C2600 router over a wired connection using an Ethernet cable.

Configuration setup:

  • Go to http://tplinkwifi.net or http://192.168.0.1 and enter your login information.
  • Select a region, time zone, and click the auto-detect button on your screen.
  • Proceed with the on-screen instructions to complete the TP-Link Archer C2600 setup.
