TP-Link Archer C3150 is a dual-band router with both 2.4 and 5 GHz bands and has a combined speed of 3150 Mbps. How to setup TP-Link Archer C3150 router are as follows.
Take out the router from the box.
The box also contains the user manual, AC Adapter, and an Ethernet cable.
Take out the AC Adapter from the package, connect the plug to the main power source, and the other end to the back of the router.
Take out the Ethernet cable from the package, connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the computer, and connect the other end to one of the 4 LAN ports on the TP-Link Archer C3150 router setup.
Similarly, using another Ethernet cable, connect the WAN port of the router to your modem.
Press the switch for the main power source and then press the ON button on the back of the TP-Link router.
You’re now ready to perform the quick setup with the router’s Web Graphic User Interface.
Open the default browser on your computer.
Enter tplinkwifi.net in the URL and press the Enter button.
The TP-Link page will open. Enter the default admin username and password to log in.
You will see two fields with the message ‘Please create an administrator password to manage your TP-Link Archer C3150 router setup’.
Enter a password of your choice in the field and re-enter the password to verify.
Click the Let’s Get Started button.
Click the Quick setup tab on the following page, then select the time range from the Time Zone drop-down list.
Click the Next button.
Click the Dynamic IP radio button from the list of options and click the Next button.
The Wireless settings page will open.
(For both 2.4GHz and 5GHz)
Enter the name of your choice for the router in the SSID field.
Enter the password in the given field to protect your wireless network, then click Next.
In the Summary section, confirm the choice you have selected and click the Save button.
Now click the Wi-Fi icon in the notification area and select the SSID you entered from the list.
Enter the password in the field and click Next.
You will see the connected status.
Now, go back to the TP-Link router page and click the Next button.
You will now see the progress bar. Wait for it to reach 100% to finish the TP-Link Archer C3150 router setup.
