Tp-Link Archer C3150 Router Setup - Quick Steps

TP-Link Archer C3150 is a dual-band router with both 2.4 and 5 GHz bands and has a combined speed of 3150 Mbps. With the help of the MU-MIMO technology, the TP-Link Archer C3150 router will be able to run on multiple devices, 4 times faster than a standard router. How to setup TP-Link Archer C3150 router are as follows.

  • Take out the router from the box.
  • The box also contains the user manual, AC Adapter, and an Ethernet cable.
  • Take out the AC Adapter from the package, connect the plug to the main power source, and the other end to the back of the router.
  • Take out the Ethernet cable from the package, connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the computer, and connect the other end to one of the 4 LAN ports on the TP-Link Archer C3150 router setup.
  • Similarly, using another Ethernet cable, connect the WAN port of the router to your modem.
  • Press the switch for the main power source and then press the ON button on the back of the TP-Link router.

You’re now ready to perform the quick setup with the router’s Web Graphic User Interface.

  • Open the default browser on your computer.
  • Enter tplinkwifi.net in the URL and press the Enter button.
  • The TP-Link page will open. Enter the default admin username and password to log in.
  • You will see two fields with the message ‘Please create an administrator password to manage your TP-Link Archer C3150 router setup’.
  • Enter a password of your choice in the field and re-enter the password to verify.
  • Click the Let’s Get Started button.
  • Click the Quick setup tab on the following page, then select the time range from the Time Zone drop-down list.
  • Click the Next button.
  • Click the Dynamic IP radio button from the list of options and click the Next button.
  • The Wireless settings page will open.

(For both 2.4GHz and 5GHz)

  • Enter the name of your choice for the router in the SSID field.
  • Enter the password in the given field to protect your wireless network, then click Next.
  • In the Summary section, confirm the choice you have selected and click the Save button.
  • Now click the Wi-Fi icon in the notification area and select the SSID you entered from the list.
  • Enter the password in the field and click Next.
  • You will see the connected status.
  • Now, go back to the TP-Link router page and click the Next button.

You will now see the progress bar. Wait for it to reach 100% to finish the TP-Link Archer C3150 router setup.
