Most of the time, the router’s control panel LED status indicates the current state of the router. For example, as soon as your router turns ON, all the light on its control panel will blink, and the Power light turns into the solid green after a while. Similarly, each LED indicates a unique state of the router. These LEDs also help you to find the errors or issues on your router. If you’re using a Verizon router, then you might have encountered the Verizon router flashing green light. Usually, when your router is booting up, the LED will be blinking in green. So, it is normal. But, if the LED keeps flashing green even after the bootup process, then it indicates an issue. If your router couldn’t update its software, then there is a chance for this issue to occur.

Troubleshooting Instructions

  • First, check whether any software update is going on.
  • If yes, pause it.
  • Make sure that the software is compatible with your router model.
  • If not, cancel the update process completely.
  • Update your router's firmware if available.

Most of the Verizon router users have encountered this issue while accessing their routers with FIOS One Main Box.

Restart Verizon Router & FIOS One Main Box

  • Disconnect the power and the other cables from your router and the FIOS box.
  • Leave both the devices disconnected for at least 30 seconds.
  • Now, reconnect the cables and turn on the router and the FIOS box.
  • Check if the router LED flashing green issue is resolved.

Reset Your Router

  • Hold down the Reset button of your Verizon router for at least 30 seconds.
  • Once the router is reset, reconfigure its settings from the beginning.
  • Now, the router flashing green light issue will be resolved. If still your Verizon router flashing green light, there might be some hardware problem on your router. Contact your router dealer to resolve this.
