Step 1 - Check the cable connection

Coax cable

Make sure the Coax cable is properly connected between the router’s WAN port and a wall jack.

Power cable

Ensure that the power cable is connected correctly between the router’s rear port and the wall outlet.

Ethernet cable

  • Make sure you have established a proper connection between the router’s LAN port and the computer’s Ethernet port using an Ethernet cable.
  • Note: Do not use a damaged or faulty Ethernet cable.

Step 2 - Restart your router and device

  • Shut down your computer that is connected to the Verizon router.
  • Detach the power cable from the router and the wall outlet.
  • After a minute, connect the one end of the power cable to the router’s rear port.
