How To Fix Xfinity Router Wps Button Flashing?

 Xfinity Router Wps Button Flashing

Wi-Fi Protected Setup is one of the easiest methods to set up a wireless network connection. To set up Wi-Fi using the WPS Push Button Configuration method, you have to press the WPS button on the Xfinity router. After holding the WPS button for two minutes, the WPS LED starts to blink. This indicates that the router is trying to connect, i,e., it is in the WPS pairing mode. Once the router connects successfully, the WPS LED stays lit. If the WPS LED blinks for a long time, follow the steps to troubleshoot the Xfinity router WPS button flashing problem.

Restart the Xfinity router

  • Unplug the power cable from the router.
  • Leave it for one minute.
  • Re-plug the power cable into the router’s rear port.
  • Mostly, the problem will be resolved after the restart.
  • If it persists, proceed with one of these methods.

Method 1 - Troubleshooting through My Account

  • Access the Xfinity account using the Xfinity ID and password.
  • Navigate to the Internet Service tab.
  • Go to the Devices section and choose your router.
  • Select the Restart Modem option and click the Start Troubleshooting button.
  • This process might take 7 minutes to complete.

Method 2 - Troubleshooting through the Xfinity My Account app

  • Launch the Xfinity My Account app on your iOS or Android device.
  • Go to the Internet section, choose the router you want to troubleshoot Xfinity router WPS button flashing, and tap the ‘Restart this device’ option.
  • Once done with the troubleshooting steps, perform the Wi-Fi setup using the WPS Push Button Configuration or WPS Personal Identification Number method.
